Maui Tropical Plantation is known to be a jack of many trades. Whatever you’re looking for, they’ve got it covered. For those looking for a stunning location for their Maui wedding, it’s here. For those wanting to experience one of the best ziplines on the island, that’s also here. Want to feed ducks, learn a little history or buy a few locally made souvenirs? They have it all! And if you’re lucky, you’ll be around for one of their award-winning events!
Maui Tropical Plantation Makes Hula Hip
The latest that swept the island was their beautifully produced Inaugural Waikapu Country Town Hawaiian Music Festival. Fun food carts, lovely authentic Hawaiian music and the best hula on the island made for one splendid day, amidst a few tropical rain showers that cooled the crowd off!
Feeding the Fans
When Maui Tropical Plantation throws an event, they make sure everyone has everything they need. And they did not disappoint! From the very popular Poi Mochi to the beneficial kombucha, there was plenty to pick from. I happened upon some of the best banana bread on the island, and my daughter was in donut heaven with the malasadas. Mill House made an appearance with their delicious looking Philly Cheesesteak Sandwiches that made my mouth water. The choices ranged from very local cuisine like mixed plates and Manapua sliders to universally known fries and fish tacos.
Hula Heaven
Hula and Hawaii go together like paper umbrellas and Mai Tais. If you’ve never seen authentic hula dancing, add it to your bucket list! This event showcased some of the most beautiful, graceful dancers. The crown was mesmerized by the sway and flow of the dances, each one choreographed perfectly. There was some storytelling and narrating to help explain the story behind the movements. And the keiki (children) even stepped onto the stage! It was magical from beginning to end.
Keiki Headquarters
Not every child at the event felt like quietly sitting, and Maui Tropical Plantation beat them to the punch. On the opposite end of the property, there was a keiki zone that rivaled Disneyland! There was plenty of space to run, bounce and play. As always, the Plantation made sure to offer a shady spot for parents and kids alike to relax in between playing. This well-planned event made both parents and kids very happy!
