Twofers – the best thing since poi and lau lau, am I right?! Well, on Maui, we take it one step further by combining two ultimate adventures to create one super-adventure. The folks at Hike Maui have teamed up with Piiholo Ranch to offer a tropical twofer in the form of a combined ziplining, hiking and waterfall swimming tour.
If you’re looking to make the most of your adventure time on Maui, this is one of the best opportunities you’ll find. Cheehoo!
***UPDATE: August 2021 – This tour is not being offered at this time. The Piʻiholo zipline has permanently shut down. We do expect this tour to continue in the future but with a different zipline company. We will update once more information becomes available.***

After meeting your Hike Maui guides in central Maui, you’ll head Upcountry to the slopes of Haleakala Volcano to arrive at Piiholo Ranch, a family-owned and operated business that offers exciting ziplining tours through their beautiful property. The zipline portion of the tour includes a total of 4 different lines, each up to 200 feet above the ground, over the stunning Piiholo Valley and surrounding forested area. Ziplining guides are extremely knowledgeable, safety-conscious and friendly, and we absolutely love flying through this gorgeous area, and seeing Maui from a whole new perspective!
Post-zipline, you’ll travel the back roads of Maui’s lush rainforest grounds before arriving at the trails, which follow scenic streams and offer views of Maui’s native flora and fauna. While you certainly don’t have to be a pro-outdoorsman (or woman) to successfully weave your way through these hiking trails, you’ll definitely feel a sense of accomplishment once you arrive at the area’s multiple cascading waterfalls, a picture-perfect way to explore a lesser-seen side of Maui’s natural beauty. Spend the afternoon cooling off in the refreshing pools, jumping from waterfall ledges, or taking a well-deserved swim, and finish the day with a shower under a waterfall! It doesn’t get more tropical than that, brah.
While Hike Maui offers a number of incredible guided hiking tours throughout Maui, this tropical twofer is just too hard to beat.
