Located on the Maui Nui Golf Club in Kihei, the Hokulani Golf Villas recently hosted a Grand Opening & Open House Event to celebrate Phase 2 of the growing Hokulani development. For many, owning real estate on Maui is a dream come true, and the desirable location, design and amenities of Hokulani are sure to attract plenty of interested buyers.
Blessing Ceremony
A blessing ceremony is a customary practice in Hawaii, often done to celebrate the beginning of something, whether it’s a new business, home, baby or marriage. Uncle Les Kuloloio performed the blessing ceremony for the new stage of Hokulani, stating his well wishes for the land and members of the development.
Grand Opening Block Party
After the blessing, it was time for the grand opening celebration to begin! Catered by Celebrations by Bev Gannon and featuring live music from local Maui musician Eric Gilliom, the celebration included members of the Maui Nui Golf Club, Maui Food Bank donors, clients of Maui Hue and brokers and realtors from the surrounding community.
An assortment of delicious food was offered for party attendees, including mini chicken pot pies, steamed pork buns and meatloaf sliders from Joe’s, coconut crusted shrimp, cheese and crackers from Gannon’s, and crab dip from Hali’imaile General Store. Soda, wine and beers from Maui Brewing Company were also provided, and the turnout for the event was excellent, not to mention the sunset!
Hokulani Open House
Three model homes, all with different floor plans, were open for tours throughout the weekend, and guests were treated with complimentary lunch from Fat Daddy’s Smokehouse.
